The Sugar Bar, which describes itself as ‘‘Arizona’s first candy store and bar combo,’’ is coming to the northwest corner of McQueen and Warner in Chandler.
It takes over a strip-mall space that formerly housed a tattoo shop and a vape shop, among other businesses.
The 30-seat bar will feature rare beers with unusual flavors – ‘‘from a double chocolate milk stout to a super fruity smoothie IPA’’ – alongside popular beers.
Flights of beers will be paired with candy as well as desserts from local bakeries.
One wall will be dedicated to candy for sale.
Owners hope for a soft opening by Sept. 1.
