Maskadores Taco Shop, a local chain of Mexican wrestling (lucha libre) themed eateries, opens its 18th Valley location Friday on the southeast corner of Warner and 48th Street in Ahwatukee.
It takes over the space next to Zesty Zzeek’s Pizza that formerly was home to Ezekial’s Cafe. which closed in February.
Maskadores, formerly known as Mucha Lucha, offers nearly 20 kinds of tacos, including green chile beef, tinga chipotle chicken, red carnitas pork, Baja shrimp, and surf and turf.
Maskadores also serves burritos, enchiladas, tostadas, quesadillas, and nachos.
Hours have not been posted, but most locations are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Saturday.
