BlackSheep Wine Bar & Merchant, which offers house red or white blends for just $5 a glass, has opened on the northwest corner of San Marcos and Boston in downtown Chandler.
It takes over the original home of DC Steakhouse, which moved about 100 yards south to the New Square development in April 2020.
Besides the house blends, the wine list includes 10 reds and 10 whites, available by the bottle ($42) or glass ($12), as well as a lengthy reserve list.
Ten craft beers are on tap, plus more in cans and bottles.
The food menu features starters, bruschettas, meat and cheese ‘‘graze boxes,’’ salads, pastas, and paninis.
Lunch specials include a half-panini with salad or soup for $12 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. weekdays.
Drink specials include $5 glasses of wine, pitchers of beer, and well cocktails from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. weekdays.
BlackSheep is open 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-2 a.m. Saturday-Sunday.
