Vero Chicago Pizza, the newly renamed chain formerly known as Buddyz Chicago Pizzeria, has opened its first franchise location – for takeout only right now – on the southwest corner of Val Vista and Williams Field in Gilbert.
The menu: Three types of pizza – thin crust, butter crust, and deep dish – along with salads, wings, sandwiches, and pastas.
Open: 4-8 p.m. daily for takeout only during staff training.
Other locations: Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, and Ahwatukee.
Coming soon: A second franchise location – near the southwest corner of Gilbert and Chandler Heights in Chandler – is expected to open by the end of this year.
