The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown announced its ground-floor restaurant space – empty since The District American Kitchen & Wine Bar closed in 2019 – will welcome a new concept this fall.
The food: Southwest-inspired Carcara will highlight Native American- and Sonoran-inspired dishes from chef Chaz Frankenfield.
The space: The 5,000-square-foot restaurant will have a central bar and seating for 270. A 2,000-square-foot patio will feature a fireplace and two fire pits overlooking Van Buren.
Timeline: A September opening is being targeted.
