The Paleta Bar, a New Mexico-based chain of Mexican dessert shops, will make its Arizona debut inside the University House apartments across the street from Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe later this month, followed by locations in east Mesa and south Chandler.
The food: Customized paletas (choose your paleta flavor, dip, topping, and/or fruit), fruit cups, elote cups, dorinachos, and aguas frescas.
The chain: 25 locations in New Mexico, California, Nevada, Texas, and Florida.
Other locations/openings: The Mesa location, next to the AMC Superstition East 12 theaters on the northeast corner of Signal Butte and Baseline, and the Chandler location, on the northwest corner of Gilbert and Chandler Heights, are scheduled to open in November.
