Glendale-based Throne Brewing has taken over the Pizza People Pub on Central Avenue, between Culver and Willetta, in downtown Phoenix and renamed it Throne Brewing & Pizza Kitchen.
The food: While the Glendale brewpub’s menu focuses on sandwiches and burgers, the new location retains the pizzas and 10 kinds of mac and cheese the Pizza People Pub was known for.
The drinks: The taps will feature beers from Throne, which began by buying out 4-year-old Dubina Brewing in 2018. It added a second location by buying out Freak’N Brewing in Peoria in 2020.
Open: 4-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday and noon-9 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
