Mesquite Fresh Street Mex, a local chain of fast-casual Mexican eateries formerly known as Mr Mesquite, will open its eighth Valley location on Saturday, Aug. 28, near the northwest corner of Happy Valley and 17th Avenue in northwest Phoenix.
Grand opening: Begins at 10:30 a.m. and the first 200 guests will score a free taco a week for the next six months. The celebration also will include giveaways of cups, hats, shirts, bumper stickers, and more.
Other locations: Phoenix, Surprise, Scottsdale (2), Tempe, Mesa, and Gilbert.
