The Caspian Cup, a dessert shop specializing in ‘‘gourmet’’ shaved ice, has opened in the food court at San Tan Village shopping center in Gilbert.
The food: Besides more than dozen flavors of shaved ice, the menu offers popsicles, ice cream, non-alcoholic jello shots, and cereal bars. The signature menu item is a rose ice cream sandwich (pictured).
The drinks: Coffee drinks, tea, mangoñada, and limeade.
Open: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
