The Wandering Donkey food truck has launched a bricks-and-mortar restaurant – Wandering Donkey Taqueria & Tequila Bar – in the Bashas’ shopping center on the southwest corner of Bell and Thompson Peak in north Scottsdale.
The menu: Nine specialty tacos include chile stewed lamb, spit-grilled adobado marinated pork, and shrimp, bacon, and crispy chickpeas. Non-taco highlights are a Sonoran dog on frybread, Sinaloa stewed pork with Oaxaca cheese, and a shrimp, scallops, and sea bass stew.
The hours: 3-10 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, 3-11 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday. Closed Monday.
