After abruptly closing its Gilbert Town Square location without notice last month, Valley-based Howler’s Restaurant & Sports Bar has reopened it just in time for the kickoff of the college and pro football seasons.
The background: Howler’s closed Saturday, Aug. 21, but a few days later told MXSW it would reopen ‘‘in a few weeks’’ with a full staff, a new menu, and a remodeling of the space. It reopened at 4 p.m. Thursday – just 12 days after the closure.
The menu: For now, there is no updated menu or beer list. According to the sports bar’s social media, they’re ‘‘still working on it.’’
The decor: There is new furniture on the patio.
