Obon Sushi + Bar + Ramen, which was founded in Tucson in 2015, is planning a new location at Biltmore Fashion Park on the northeast corner of Camelback and 24th Street in Phoenix.
The menu: Steamed buns, ramen, Japanese and Korean entrees, poke, sushi, and crudo.
Projected opening: Late 2021.
Other current locations: It will be the concept’s fourth overall and third in the Valley. It opened restaurants in Scottsdale in 2017 and 2019.
Future locations? A location at the Watermark next to Tempe Town Lake was scheduled to open in 2020, but its status is uncertain due to a recent change in Obon’s ownership. Another location is planned for the new Verde at Cooley Station development in Gilbert next year.
