OHSO Gilbert, Desert Monks & Lumberyard win silver medals at GABF

Congrats to OHSO Brewery in Gilbert, Desert Monks Brewing in Gilbert, and Lumberyard Brewing in Flagstaff – all three picked up silver medals Friday night at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver.

  • OHSO took silver for its Sudoku, a Japanese rice lager with ginger, lemongrass, and Jasmine green tea, in the Herb and Spice Beer category.
  • Desert Monks (pictured) earned silver for its Ale’s Wife Pumpkin Pie Märzen in the Pumpkin Beer category.
  • Lumberyard grabbed silver for its Pumphouse Porter in the Robust Poster category.

GABF stats: Overall, the world’s largest commercial beer competition received 9,680 entries from 2,192 breweries. It awarded 290 medals to 265 U.S. breweries.
