OHSO Brewery in Gilbert tapped 1-800-273-8255, its seasonal beer to raise awareness of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, on Thursday.
The history: OHSO founder Jon Lane launched the campaign in 2019 after seeing several friends and co-workers in the industry commit suicide.
The campaign: More than 50 local and national partners will sell 1-800-273-TALK this month. A portion of the beer’s sales will be donated to suicide prevention organizations.
The quote: ‘‘This campaign is about creating conversations around suicide prevention, and I hope we encourage people to reach out to someone in their life who may be struggling,’’ Lane says. ‘‘A simple phone call could save a life.’’
