Mesa-based 12 West Brewing has announced plans to build a brewery and restaurant – its third East Valley location – near the southwest corner of the Loop 202 and Recker in northeast Mesa.
The history: 12 West, which brews in owner Bryan McCormick’s east Mesa garage, debuted a small taproom at Barnone at Agritopia in Gilbert in 2016 and opened its namesake taproom and restaurant in downtown Mesa on New Year’s Eve 2019.
The new location: The two-story, 22,000-square-foot facility with have a dining area, a bar, and several patios. A new 30-barrel brewing system will triple production.
The neighborhood: The Longbow Marketplace already is home to Scottsdale-based Goldwater Brewing’s first satellite location – a taproom that opened in January – along with several new restaurants.
Projected 12 West opening: Late 2022.
