Freely Taproom & Kitchen, which was called Fremont Taproom & Kitchen until a last-minute name change, has opened on the northwest corner of McClintock and Warner in south Tempe.
Who’s behind it? Paul Gillingwater, who worked nearly a decade at OHSO Brewing.
The space: 2,500 square feet, but with another 3,500 on the dog-friendly covered patio.
The menu: For the soft opening, only the bar is open with 30 beers on tap and 18 wines. The kitchen is expected to open next month.
Hours: 2-10 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-midnight Friday-Sunday. Closed Monday.
