Dave’s Hot Chicken, a Los Angeles-based fast-casual chain specializing in Nashville-style hot chicken, is taking over the former Burger King on the southeast corner of Stapley and Baseline in Gilbert. The 5-year-old concept, which began as a Hollywood parking lot pop-up, is financially backed by celebrities Samuel L. Jackson, Drake, Michael Strahan, and Maria Shriver.
