Not Your Typical Deli to close May 26, launch ‘pop-up’ in downtown Gilbert

Not Your Typical Deli, the popular sandwich shop that hires about half its staff through its own training program for those with autism and other developmental disabilities, announced the Gilbert Town Square location will close Thursday, May 26. The deli intends to rebrand and launch a ‘‘pop-up-style’’ shop in July in a small building behind The Farmhouse in downtown Gilbert. The pop-up will be open Thursdays through Saturday, and plans to offer beer and wine. NYTD also will continue to focus on its food truck and other mobile-based business.
