Shaq’s Big Chicken to take over ex-Pomo Pizzeria space in downtown Gilbert

Big Chicken, a fast-casual chicken concept launched by former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal in 2018, is moving into the recently closed Pomo Pizzeria space in downtown Gilbert. Big Chicken’s signature sandwiches include the Shaq Attack and the Charles Barkley. The deal was facilitated by Tempe-based The Restaurant Brokers with Steve Christensen and Reid Richards, the owners of Another Broken Egg Cafe in Gilbert who plan to open 12 Big Chicken locations in the Valley.
