Modern Margarita to return to East Valley with south Chandler location

Modern Margarita, a stylish lounge focused on Mexican small plates and margaritas, is opening a second location in front of EOS Fitness near the southeast corner of Gilbert and Ocotillo in south Chandler. Valley restaurateur Julian Wright opened the original location at CityNorth in northeast Phoenix in 2013, but sold the concept in 2015. The new owners opened a second location on the southeast corner of Arizona and Boston in downtown Chandler in 2016, but it closed after a fire the following year. The space sat empty until Tipsy Egg opened last month. No opening date has been announced for the new Modern Margarita.
