Chicago-based Portillo’s planning 6th Valley location for Queen Creek

By Jess Harter Tuesday, June 28, 2022

Chicago-based fast-casual chain Portillo’s has submitted a ‘‘pre-application’’ with the town of Queen Creek to build a 7,700-square-foot restaurant with a drive-through on the southeast corner of Ellsworth Loop and Walnut, just south of Queen Creek Road. Known for its Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, and Italian sausages, Portillo’s currently has Valley locations in Tempe, Scottsdale, Glendale, and Avondale, and is opening one in Gilbert later this year. The Queen Creek location likely would open in 2023.
