Gilbert-based Arizona Wilderness Brewing today released the 2022 version of its Smoked Apple Gose, a beer brewed annually to honor the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives in the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30, 2013. The sour ale (4.8% ABV), available on draft and in cans at the brew pub’s two locations, is made with Arizona-grown apples smoked over pecan wood at Joe’s Real BBQ in Gilbert. A portion of the beer sales will be donated to a Prescott-based non-profit that supports wildland firefighters and their families.
