The Vine Tavern & Eatery, a popular hangout for ASU students and sports fans since 1986, will permanently close its Apache Boulevard location Saturday, July 23. The Irish pub is referring to the closure as a ‘‘relocation’’ – last month MXSW broke the news The Vine was taking over the former Angry Crab space on the northwest corner of Ray and 38th Street in Ahwatukee. It also has a 20-year-old location on the southeast corner of Rural and Elliot in south Tempe that will continue to operate.
