Congrats to Ground Control, the Litchfield Park gastropub that’s celebrating its 15th anniversary this week with a series of special beer tappings:
- Today: A limited amount of Ground Control 15th anniversary glassware and clothing is available for purchase.
- Tuesday: Tapping the second batch of Ubey My Dog IPA, a collaboration with OHSO that debuted for last year’s anniversary. Brewed with coconut, vanilla, ube, and lactose, the beer (named for GC owner Ian Harwell’s dog Kaelee) tastes like a purple crumble sugar cookie.
- Wednesday: Old School Day will revisit the beers GC had on tap when it first opened.
- Thursday: New School Day will feature tappings from some new local favorite breweries, including Lake Pleasant, Fire & Fury, Simple Machine, and Roses by the Stairs. Smelter Town made a sour IPA, and Ad Astra made a pastry imperial stout.
- Friday: Tapping of Witch’s Hand barrel-aged barleywine, a collaboration with Dark Sky for GC’s anniversary.
