Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken, an award-winning Memphis-based chain that made its Arizona debut in downtown Mesa in January 2021 and added a downtown Phoenix location in October, is planning a third restaurant in Ahwatukee. It’s expected to open by the end of this year in the former Keegan’s Grill on the southwest corner of Ray and 48th Street. Gus’s was named the best fried chicken in America by Forbes and one of the 10 best meals in America by GQ.
