Long-awaited Angie’s Lobster, the new drive-through concept from the founders of Salad & Go, opens its first drive-through restaurant at 10 a.m. today near the southwest corner of Signal Butte and Guadalupe in southeast Mesa.
The menu: $9.99 Maine lobster meals, which include a warm or chilled lobster roll or fried lobster tail with fries, Angie’s sauce, and a drink.
The founders: Roushan and Tony Christofellis launched Salad and Go in Gilbert in 2013. They sold the concept, which has grown to 45 locations in Arizona and 17 in Texas, in 2020.
The history: Angie’s Lobster announced five locations last fall and began serving walk-up customers from a food truck at a Tempe site that was supposed to be the first to open, but it’s been delayed by construction issues.
Did you know? In order to reduce costs, Angie’s Lobster bought a wharf on Maine’s Bailey Island and started its own lobster processing operation.
Hours: 10 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
