California Pizza Kitchen, one of the first restaurants to open at Tempe Marketplace in 2007, has closed. It was the troubled chain’s last remaining East Valley location.
The history: CPK, which was forced into bankruptcy in 2020, has closed two locations in Mesa and another in Chandler in recent years.
The survivors: CPK still has three Valley locations, two in Phoenix (Biltmore and Desert Ridge) and another in Scottsdale.
