Richie V’s Chicago Eatery, a restaurant specializing in Windy City street foods, has opened on the northeast corner of Alma School and Chandler Heights in south Chandler.
The space: The strip-mall space formerly was home to Johnny’s Greek & Burger Bar, which closed in May.
The menu: Vienna beef Chicago dogs, Italian sausages, Italian beef, house-made Italian ices, fresh-cut french fries, and Chicago-style tamales. A liquor license is pending.
Did you know? Owner Richie Vaia previously operated a hot dog cart at a gas station off I-1-10 and Riggs in Chandler.
Open: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
