OHSO Brewery in downtown Gilbert has tapped its seasonal 988, an IPA to raise awareness of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Sept. 4-10 is National Suicide Prevention Week.
The history: OHSO debuted the beer, formerly called 1-800-273-TALK, five years ago and offers it a couple times each year. Last fall, more than 75 breweries in Arizona and outside the state joined the campaign.
The campaign: A portion of beer sales are donated to suicide prevention organizations, but the primary goal is to spread awareness. Learn more here.
