Award-winning downtown Phoenix cocktail bar Undertow opens its second location at 4 p.m. today at Epicenter at Agritopia on the northwest corner of Higley and Ray in Gilbert.
The space: With a hand-carved bar top and a figurehead salvaged from the bow of a ship, the bar is designed to replicate riding in the belly of a turn-of-the-century clipper, complete with thunderstorm and lightning effects.
The menu: Themed cocktails include the Missionary’s Downfall, the Clear Skies & Tropical Winds, and the Shipless Sailor. The menu also features rare rums from around the world.
Open: 4-11 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 2 p.m.-midnight Friday-Saturday, 2-10 p.m. Sunday.
