Dave’s Hot Chicken, a Los Angeles-based fast-casual chain specializing in Nashville-style hot chicken, opens at 11 a.m. today in the former Burger King building on the southeast corner of Cooper and Baseline in Gilbert.
Star power: The 5-year-old concept, which began as a Hollywood parking lot pop-up, is financially backed by celebrities Samuel L. Jackson, Drake, Michael Strahan, and Maria Shriver.
The menu: Chicken tenders, alone or in a sandwich, with a choice of seven heat levels ranging from ‘‘no spice’’ to ‘‘reaper.’’ Fries, mac and cheese, and kale slaw as sides.
Open: 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-midnight Friday-Saturday.
