Pakistani barbecue chain Bundoo Khan makes Arizona debut in Mesa

Bundoo Khan, a worldwide chain of Pakistani 🇵🇰 barbecue restaurants specializing in kabobs and chicken tikka, has opened its first Arizona franchise inside the Lotus International Market on the southeast corner of Alma School and Baseline in southwest Mesa.

The history: Founder Bundoo Khan began serving Karachi street food in 1948 and opened his first restaurant in 1957. The first U.S. location opened in Fullerton, Calif., last year.

The menu: Chicken, beef, and vegetarian kabobs; chicken and beef wraps; chicken biryani on weekends.

Open: Noon-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, noon-3 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. Friday-Saturday, noon-3 p.m. and 5-8:30 p.m. Sunday. Closed Monday.
