Bergies Coffee Roast House ☕️, a fixture in historic downtown Gilbert since 2009, will close Dec. 24, owners Brian and Linda Bergeson announced on social media.
The reason: The property on which the coffeehouse sits, located just north of Joes Real BBQ, has been sold.
Still selling: Bergies will continue to sell its custom-roasted beans – at the Gilbert Farmers Market on Saturdays, through its online store, and direct to wholesale customers.
The quote: ‘‘It’s been our honor to be here and to serve you,’’ Linda Bergeson says. ‘‘Better than the business we’ve had is the relationships we’ve built over the last 14 years, so we thank you for that.’’
