Cornish Pasty Co., a Tempe-based chain that’s been introducing Valley diners to British pocket sandwiches since 2005, has opened its ninth Valley location on the northeast corner of 32nd Street and Union Hills in north Phoenix.
The menu: More than 40 kinds of savory pasties and a few dessert ones, as well as appetizers, salads, and soups.
The space: Across the street from Paradise Valley Community College in the space formerly home to The Gym Sport Bar and, before that, Catch 22 Sport Grill.
Open: 11 a.m.-midnight Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday-Saturday.
