Phoenix-based restaurateur Sam Fox will debut a new Mediterranean restaurant called Theà next year at his new luxury hotel in east Phoenix.
The location: Theá will be on the roof of the Global Ambassador, located at 44th Street and Camelback. The 141-room hotel will feature five original restaurants.
- Theá will have an indoor dining room, a patio, three bars, and a fireside lounge.
- Investors in the hotel include Devin Booker, Larry Fitzgerald, and Dierks Bentley.
- The other four restaurants have not been announced.
The kitchen head: Eric Kim Haugen, a frequent guest on the Food Network’s “Iron Chef America” and “Big Restaurant Bet,” has been hired as head of culinary creative at the hotel.
- Theá’s menu will feature pasta and coastal seafood.
Timeline: The hotel is expected to open in late 2023.
