SnapBack Pizzeria replaces Grand Avenue Pizza Co. in downtown Phoenix

SnapBack Pizza, a bricks-and-mortar location by former mobile pizzaiolo Ryan Moreno, has replaced the Grand Avenue Pizza Co., which closed in May after eight years on the southeast corner of Grand and Fillmore in downtown Phoenix.

  • Moreno worked at Grand Avenue Pizza from 2015-2017.
  • During the pandemic, he launched The Hungry Homie, a mobile pizza catering business.

The menus: SnapBack offers eight different 18-inch Neapolitan-style pizzas, including a Chef’s Choice. (Pictured: The Tie Dye with garlic butter, red sauce, basil peto, and mozzarella.)

  • Three kinds are available by the slice – cheese, pepperoni, and veggie.

Open: 4 p.m.-midnight Wednesday-Saturday. Closed Sunday-Tuesday.
