Original ChopShop, a health-focused fast-casual concept, opens its ninth Valley restaurant today at Dana Park on the northwest corner of Val Vista and Baseline in Mesa.
The menu: Chopped salads, protein bowls, sandwiches, superfruit bowls, protein shakes, and pressed juices.
The space: The former California Pizza Kitchen building has been divided into two restaurants. Lucky Lou’s American Kitchen soon will open in the other space.
The history: Original ChopShop began in Old Town Scottsdale in February 2013 and added a Tempe location in July 2013.
- The founders sold controlling interest in the concept to Texas-based investors in 2016.
- Original ChopShop now has nine restaurants in Texas and another in Georgia, with several more in the works.
