Pita Jungle sweetens up holiday menu with new Baklawa Box to go

Local Mediterranean chain Pita Jungle has launched a new to-go menu item just in time for holiday parties – the Baklawa Box.

What: The classic Mediterranean dessert is made in-house with crunchy layers of phyllo dough drizzled with honey and sprinkled with pistachios.

• Boxes start at $16.
• Boxes are available at all 23 Pita Jungles in Arizona.

Did you know: Greek baklava is flavored with cinnamon and cloves, while Lebanese baklawa is flavored with cardamom and orange blossom water.

• There also are other small differences. Technically speaking, Pita Jungle’s version is a hybrid of the two.

Availability: Not to worry if you can’t get your during the holidays. The Baklawa Box will be sold through 2023.
