Arizona Wilderness Brewing is teaming up with Audubon Southwest to celebrate Arizona’s 12 species of owls, including the launch of a new beer, Superb Owl.
Who’s the best: Beginning Jan. 24, the brewery will hold a series of head-to-head matchups between Arizona owl species on its Instagram account.
- Over several weeks, voting will narrow the field to one species.
- The winner will be announced Feb. 9 at a free Birds & Beer Party at the Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center in Phoenix.
The beer: Superb Owl, a lime-infused amber lager, will be available for purchase during the Birds & Beer event.
- Cans and pints will land at Wilderness taprooms in Gilbert and downtown Phoenix shortly after.
