California-born Mr. Pickle’s Sandwich Shops has opened the first of six planned Arizona locations in the next 18 months on the northeast corner of Scottsdale and Shea in central Scottsdale.
The menu: Hot and cold sandwiches on 10 types of bread, salads, and soups.
The history: Frank Fagundes launched Mr. Pickle’s in San Mateo, Calif., in 1996.
- By the end of 2022, Mr. Pickle’s had 58 locations in northern California.
- The company recently moved its headquarters to Scottsdale.
Other planned locations: Dobson and Ray in Chandler, Baseline and the 202 in Laveen Village, Combs and Gantzel in Queen Creek, Raintree and Thompson Peak in Scottsdale, and Bell and Litchfield in Surprise.
⏰ Open: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
