Houston’s Federal American Grill launches outpost in NE Phoenix

Federal American Grill, a refined-but-not-stuffy restaurant with four locations in the Houston area, has opened its first out-of-state location on the southwest corner of Scottsdale and the 101 in northeast Phoenix.

The space: It takes over the 7,600-square-foot building that formerly housed Denny’s and The Elephant Bar at the Scottsdale 101 shopping mall.

The menu: Steaks, ribs, chicken, seafood, pasta, protein bowls, burgers, and sandwiches. (Pictured: Thai shrimp and cheese grits.)

  • The signature appetizer is two fried cheeseburger egg rolls made with wagyu beef.
  • 🔥 The Flaming Oldie smoking cocktail, created with Elijah Craig bourbon, house bitters, 151-brûléed orange and cherry, is prepared tableside.

⏰ Open: 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday.

📌 Details: 7000 E. Mayo Blvd., Building 27, Phoenix (map), 602-857-5555, thefederalgrill.com.
