Trophy Room, a new immersive cocktail bar that doesn’t allow cellphones or cameras, opened Monday night behind its big brother, fine-dining restaurant Wren & Wolf, in downtown Phoenix.
🐺 The concept: While Wren & Wolf is decorated with animal-themed paintings, stuffed pheasants hovering among the rafters, and pelt-covered seating, Trophy Room is a counterpoint filled with 160 old rifles, antique trophy cups, and a chandelier made of brass ammo casings.
The menu: More than 20 different cocktails, including non-alcoholic options, but no food.
The experience: The bar seats just 38 people, who enjoy a 90-minute ‘‘experience.’’
- Reservations will be required.
📱 Photo policy: Guests are allowed to take photos in an Instagram-worthy hallway where more than 7,000 ammo casings were used to make an archway and the chandelier.
- After check-in, guests are required to surrender their phones and/or cameras, which are secured in a vintage card catalog cabinet.
⏰ Hours: 5-9:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 5 p.m-12:30 a.m. Friday-Saturday.
