🍩 Voodoo Doughnut, a Portland-based chain of iconic doughnut shops known for its unusual flavors and signature pink boxes and decor, will make its Arizona debut in Tempe.
The company says the store will open ‘‘later this year’’ between Whataburger and Someburros on the southwest corner of Rural and Apache.
Kenneth Pogson and Tres Shannon launched Voodoo in 2003, and the doughnuts quickly developed a cult-like following. Voodoo now has 18 stores in six states.
Voodoo’s menu features more than 50 handmade doughnuts in a variety of shapes and sizes. Prices range from 95 cents to $4.50.
Gadzooks Enchiladas & Soup opens in Gilbert

Saturday: SanTan’s Grateful Day of the Dead
🎸 SanTan Brewing hosts its annual Grateful Day of the Dead featuring the band Xtra Ticket and a special grilled cheese menu Saturday. Doors open at 4 p.m. at its production brewery’s SanTan Gardens in Chandler. Tickets range from $18-$48.
