Duke’s Roadhouse, a new concept from one of the owners of The Stillery, is taking over the former A1 Pawn building near the southwest corner of Maricopa Road and the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway in Maricopa.
Steve Kovach, a Chandler developer, says the one-off project will be the city’s largest restaurant/bar/music venue and will have a patio, a balcony, and live country and western music Thursday through Sunday.
The food menu will be broader than The Stillery’s, but with no pizza.
Construction will begin when the deal closes next week. The opening is projected at the end of this year.
Kovach and Steve Sargent, a Tucson native, debuted The Stillery in 2015 in Nashville, where there are two locations, before opening in Chandler in 2020 and north Phoenix in 2022.
A fifth location is in the works in Goodyear.
