Upscale neighborhood tavern The Vig launches its sixth Valley location today in Peoria’s Park West shopping center on the northwest corner of Northern and the Loop 101, about a mile-and-a-half north of the Arizona Cardinals’ State Farm Stadium.
The food: Chef Jeremy Pacheco’s menu fcouse on burgers, sandwiches, tacos, and a few entrees. Highlights include a Rovey Dairy wagyu cheeseburger ($19), wild Mexican shrimp tacos ($20), smoked green chile mac and cheese ($16), and red onion rings with white barbecue sauce ($12).
The drinks: Eleven specialty cocktails, 25 wines by bottle or glass, and 24 beers by the draft, bottle, or can.
The decor: Four unique seating areas – a street-side patio, a sunlight-filled Arizona room, a semi-private den, and the bar and lounge – featuring stone, plaster, and patinaed woods.
The hours: 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a. m.-11 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday.
