Course, a modern American fine-dining restaurant offering prix fixe seasonal menus, opens at 5 p.m. today in the former Baked Bear space on the east side of the Harkins theaters on the northeast corner of Scottsdale and Shea in Scottsdale.
The chef: Cory Oppold, a former executive chef at Tarbell’s and Atlas Bistro, was a 2019 winner on the Food Network’s ‘‘Chopped.’’
The space: Featuring a minimalist white-and-gray decor, Course seats just 26 people indoors and another 36 on the patio.
The menus:
- Tuesday-Wednesday: A five-course tasting menu for $135 per person. Add $85 for wine pairings.
- Thursday-Saturday: A 10-course tasting menu for $190 per person. Add $125 for wine pairings.
- Sunday: A six-course brunch tasting menu for $75 per person (starts May 28).
Reservations: Pre-payment required for reservations. Diners then will receive an email questionnaire about any special dietary needs.
Hours: 5-9 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday. Closed Monday.
