🍺 Congrats to Saddle Mountain Brewing and three other Arizona breweries that won medals Wednesday at the prestigious 2023 World Beer Cup in Nashville, Tenn.
🥇🥈 Saddle Mountain (pictured), located in Goodyear, was a double medal-winner, taking the gold in the American Wheat Beer category for its Taildragger 5G and the silver in Scottish Style Ale for its Taildragger Clan-Destine.
Other Arizona medalists:
- 🥇 State 48 Brewery won the gold in Strong Porter for its Baltic Porter brewed at its Lager House location in Scottsdale.
- 🥉 Flying Basset Brewing in Gilbert took the bronze in Coffee Beer for its Alchemist Breakfast.
- 🥉 LazyG Brewhouse in Prescott picked up the bronze in English Ale for its Sunshine Blonde.
The competition: This year’s World Beer Cup drew 10,213 entries in 103 style categories from 2,376 breweries in 51 countries.
- Previously an every-other-year event, the World Beer Cup was annualized last year.
