Daddy’s Chicken Shack, a fast-casual fried chicken concept launched in Southern California in 2018, makes its Arizona debut Thursday on Scottsdale Road, about a third of a mile north of Shea, in Scottsdale.
The history: Husband-and-wife duo Pace Webb and Chris Georgalas opened the first Daddy’s in Pasadena and a second in Houston in 2022.
- Last month, Scottsdale-based entrepreneur Dave Liniger, founder of RE/MAX, bought the concept.
- Liniger plans to open 160 franchise locations by 2024.
The food: The menu offers a variety of chicken sandwiches, plus chicken fingers and popcorn chicken.
- The Lil’ Daddy Flight has slider versions of three of the most popular sandwiches.
- Inspired by Georgalas’ Japanese heritage, salted miso chocolate chip cookies are baked fresh daily.
Opening day deals: Free food samples will be served from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Thursday.
- At a grand opening event from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, the first 50 people will receive “free chicken for a year,” and all diners will get 50% off full-size menu items.
Hours: 7 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
