Princess Pita, an off-shoot of Princess Pita Mediterranean Restaurant and Market in Mesa, has opened on the northeast corner of Priest and Washington in northwest Tempe.
The background: For 17 years, Princess Pita has operated as a small deli and restaurant that it describes as a “one-stop Greek, Persian, Indian, Russian, Palestinian, and Middle Eastern grocery store.’’
The food: Chicken and beef shwarma, gyros, kabobs, falafel, salads, and more.
The drinks: Turkish coffee, hot tea, juice, and fountain drinks.
Hours: 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday. Closed Sunday.
