Momma’s Soul Fish & Chicken opens dine-in restaurant in Phoenix

Momma’s Soul Fish & Chicken, a family-run takeout-only soul food operation in San Tan Valley, has closed, but the St. Louis natives have opened a full-service restaurant on the northwest corner of 19th Avenue and Greenway in north Phoenix.

The food: St. Louis pork ribs, beef roast, beef pepper steak, pork chops, fried chicken, fried catfish, fried tilapia, and fried shrimp. (Pictured: Beef roast with greens and yams.)

  • Sides include mac and cheese, potato salad, yams, collard greens, white rice and gravy, fried okra, and more.
  • Desserts include peach cobbler, caramel cake, apple pie, and chocolate cake.

The drinks: Soda, iced tea, lemonade, and water.

Hours: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. Closed Monday.
